I might be a little biased but I think it's pretty good!
If you enjoyed the first one, I'd say this is pretty much like that but more. Beyond the general speed bug I just feel like I get the "okay one more run" feeling even more than the original Hades!

I love this game, I really really do. I love the gameplay feel, I love the fun builds, I love the balance and most of all I love the characters. I just think the character arcs (mostly the finales to them) could use some work

Very true! I wanna see the rule breaker version of Mel that was like "yeah sure Icarus, I will break a fundamental law of life and death for you, don't even worry about it" but looking back even that was a request that she went along with rather than a decision she came up with of her own volition

Exactly! I wanna see Mel being like "nah Athena, Arachne's right, you do kinda suck and you make mistakes and my friend deserves better than that" or have her start doubting things that Prometheus talks about instead of just calling him a fraud and condescending to him

Just off the top of my head I feel like there are conversations with Dora, Eris, Prometheus, Arachne, Icarus, Nemesis, Echo, Heracles, Hecate, Chronos, Hades and even some of the Olympians themselves that say the current system needs changing and yet Mel doesn't get to do anything about it

Not sure if it's cope or whatever but I feel like all the pieces of a great story are in there somewhere and just need to be finished off, but then it just got fumbled at the end zone to get where we are now

I totally agree with this article. Going through EA there were lots of characters whose stories revolve around the gods being awful, several of which directly point it out to Melinoe, that were progressing towards the "oh wait maybe we're the bad guys" realization... and then it just didn't happen
