Natasha and Bucky spent yesterday evening trying to snooze on my lap but with trick or treaters, I had to keep getting up and eventually they sulked off, until this morning.
Now Natasha is sprawled on top of me, but she's in for another disappointment because I have to go to the cemetery soon.

So apparently magic loop sock #knitting is super easy? I didn't even need to look anything up, it seems so intuitive! Not really faster than double-point needles, but less fiddly and fewer chances of stitches getting dropped or stretched out between needles.

I kept going with the double strand for the edging and I had enough yarn! This will be smaller than the original pattern (Bridgewater by Jared Flood) calls for since I reduced the size of the central panel, but it should be enough for warming up my shoulders or lap. #knitting

Now that I'm down to the last 2 skeins, I'm also seeing that held together, they're thicker than the others, so the edging is coming out too thick for my liking and I'm not sure if I wouldn't be better off just doing single-strand... Neverending #knitting problems.

Either all three of the avocados just plain had pots that were too small, or they were lonely, because I haven't ever seen this many leaves on them before.
It also took them some time to bounce back from when my mother put them outside in the August sun and they got sunburned a couple of years ago.

The wonky #knitting math worked but I didn't think the color change through well enough - there was a portion knit with the two colors held together but it would need to be far longer than it was. So I guess I'm frogging back to the beginning of the lace and doing the color change there.

I tried making this at 75% of the size, but I'm not going to win this yarn chicken. I'm gonna need to do some math and then frog back and start the decreases earlier. #knitting

Note to self: remember to divide the White Swan echinacea this year so there can be more places for bumblebees to collect nectar and get absolutely covered in pollen.

I saw the culprit moments before I smashed her, but it wasn't soon enough.
I think I need to go back to taking vitamins A and E again cuz my skin is doing its "break far too easily, heal far too slowly" thing again, so bug bites are bad.

At this point, I'm giving serious thought to just setting up a bunch of solar lights and my anti-mosquito torches and doing my #gardening after sunset.

Consolation: I finally got the strawberries to grow and got a lovely bowl of fruit for supper the other day. They're everbearing so I'm hoping for a few more this summer.
