I love how people who have never set foot in Ukraine once in their life feel so confident opining on it. Also. WTF is up with Ireland? If it's not blatant antisemitism one day it's russia cocksucking on another.

Using statistics to measure macro and micro-economic realities within the national economy is counter-revolutionary and a dreadful example of Bourgeois decadence.

Even in the late 80s anti-Semitism was rife within the USSR. The famous "I Cannot Waive Principles" letter published in 1988, and in its original form, explicitly, among other national minorities, decried the influence of "Zionist Jews". The Pamyat organization was also tolerated by authorities.

"AI MUST BE DESTROYED!" I type from my computer and/or smartphone, technologies, just a decade or decades prior, were described by my local preacher as satanic and evil, and I am certain that my exposure to such a social environment consistently has had no effect on my principles whatsoever.

These people aren't exactly beating " my parents' reactionary and religious beliefs about technology and society but with a red flag and quotations from Marx" allegations.

Luxury Space Communism, after all, can be easily created with mindfulness and positive vibes. What do you mean such a system would require a complete cybernetic and technological reworking of society in a manner that would require the use of AI and autonomous systems? Dross I say!

What's ironic is that, and for a long period of time, the Left, generally, were profoundly idealistic about the implementation of new technology within the society and the economy. Chernobyl and the popularity of Anarcho-Primitivism in the 1990s began the first deviation away from such optimism.

Except it isn't rational and filled to the brim with emotional reaction masquerading as coherent ideology. For all of the people chortling about a modern-day "Butlerian Jihad", they haven't considered the economic and technological stagnation that would occur should their ideals come to pass.

There is an obscure conservative historian, whose name I cannot recall, who devoted much of his later career decrying populism and its propensity to corrupt and undermine societies. I need to read more of his work because what he observed within populist movements is true and vital within our era.
