well more just literally Ultraman, since Gridman is an Ultraman spinoff, sentai is more specific
But yeah they're mecha, it's a super robot story with flair added to homage live action tokusatsu. but it still revolves around robots (esp dynazenon)

I think Musou games can be good or bad
for instance the Gundam Musou games are generally very good
but the original FE Musou was limp and dookie imo.
but Kamen Rider Battride War Genesis is literally peak

ok so, it IS based on the terminator gun, but so is Kaede's, the Hardballer with a scope/laser on it is a vibe made entirely by Terminator,
