I believe you are profoundly mistaken. When the government is actively being dismantled and you have the power to shut it down and gain bargaining power by doing so you should absofuckinglutely do so.

I am not being overly dramatic when I say that cutting the Department of Education is devestating. DOE makes sure students’ civil rights are protected, funds research into innovation in education, and administers grants that support the most vulnerable students in the country.

I don’t think I’m an expert in much but I’ve got almost thirty years of experience in the field of special education. I have an advanced knowledge of school funding and policies that protect students with disabilities.
