At 10.6% ABV I would absolutely avoid anything remotely spicy though unless you're very well adapted to spicy food.

A.E. Cross, BTW, founded Calgary's first brewery in 1893. He went on to be a founder of the Calgary Stampede. There's a Junior High School named after him in the SW.

The Ginger certainly has some bite to it, bit not so much that you can't taste the apple underneath. A pleasant spiced cider I'd recommend for murkey days. The black current cider is a bit more fruit-forward. The currents definitely overpower the apple a bit. 2/2
