For me the biggest Starmer win yesterday was presenting a letter to Trump in front of a full room of folks, and then watching in earnest while Trump very clearly demonstrated that he can't actually read.

I finally starting playing Tears of the Kingdom this past weekend. I'm already obsessed with my favourite side quest. There's this dude that is trying to put up signs, but they keep falling down. But I can't just stick a wooden post on the sign for him, and call it done, oh no.

Just finished those weird 2 days back at work. I really didn't want to go back on 2nd Jan, and was being all harumph about it. Then about midway through day 1 I got into something interesting and 4 hours flew by. Now I'm feeling all smug about the quiet 2 days I had to work on cool shit.

This introvert nerd is being sociable tonight. So sociable, I'm making a special effort, and hoovering the cat hair off my outfit before I go.

So in a predictable episode of "DnD while adulting", our BBEG session got postponed. I'm consoling myself this morning with eggs benedict, and knowing my halfling rogue gets to live another day.

Continuing my love affair with the AmstradCPC, with (imho) the best game that was on it. Monty Python's Flying Circus. Not because of the game, but because of how they implemented their "DRM". Like many games of the time, there was a booklet containing codes.

Here's a bit of fun for the weekend. What was your first gaming rig? Here's a photo of mine. It also doubled as my first coding rig 😁 It had 128kB of RAM, and a 3" floppy disk drive built INTO the keyboard. An earlier version had a tape drive, so this was pure luxury.

I played F1 24 for the first time today. It was actually for a work thing, so racing against colleagues. Got DQd in the first race after getting hit by a colleague at the first corner. There's a life lesson in there somewhere...😂

Alright. I'd largely given up and said I wouldn't do social media again. I'm tentatively curled up in the corner of this bluesky party, talking to the dog and side-eyeing everything. Let's see how it goes after a coupla beers...
