They never stopped dude. The US has been doing that shit for a long long time. Trump's a monster but his hands are comparatively clean compared to most presidents of my lifetime and I'm only 46. Don't get me wrong he's a unique threat, especially domestically

Also the senior staff make a higher wage where I am than the agency nurses. Agency makes a few dollars more hourly than me and I've been on staff for 5 years

It's a lot worse in, say, Newfoundland where the travel nurses sometimes make triple. It's still not great! But I see this 'paid double' thing quite a lot in BC context and it's not really true. Maybe it is different in specialty areas

I too am alarmed by this trend and it's majorly undermining the public health system. But as an RN who works on an inpatient unit in Vancouver, the agency nurses with us get a few dollars more an hour than I do with no differentials, premiums, benefits, sick time, pension, or vacation

That is an incorrect characterization. It is used in veterinary medicine yes. I also administer it in the people hospital. It has many indications!

One time i got sent in to clean a mess while we were open and a lady was in there about to puke. "I can't make it to toilet" Her friend rubbing her back: "it's okay you can do it here, it's okay" I was like "I AM RIGHT HERE, PLEASE TRY" Lol. Anyways, the point is everyone is gross

I used to clean bathrooms at the bar. In the men's sure pee on the floor and like a glass of urine on the toilet tank for some reason? The women's? Shredded toilet paper everywhere, pee on the seats, pads face up on the floor

Do you have your ferritin value? A lot of GPs don't recognize iron def without anemia but it is a thing. If hemoglobin is good but ferritin low you could still be deficient. Many people have symptoms under 100. Apologies if you already know all that :)
