Last spring 2020 in the midst of the BLM movements, I drew a black man holding up his in support of the frustrations of black americans everywhere across the nation. I drew it for myself as an outlet for my own frustrations. At the time, I didn't post is as I didn't think it wouldn't matter in the sea of support and other great artists out there. Now though, I realize that is matter just as much now as it should've mattered then. Almost a year later and I found myself drawing the exact same piece, but this time for the now hurting AAPI across the nation, including myself. It's a fight for reform, for equality, for a truly better America. For any of these things though, that won't become a reality without a fight. I know we are hurting, I know we are lost, but now isn't the time to fall. Stand together, stand tall, raise your fists up high, and scream loud. The fight isn't over.
