I mean, it’s not even that it was horrible (Canadian McDonalds might be cleaner than most of American ones for sheer health code reasons), just that I realized the price vs. the amount of meat I was getting was…

Like, I never realized how SMALL a plain cheeseburger was.

Did I ever tell you the reason I stopped eating there was because I worked there?

💝 And it will absolutely be your time down the winding road of story acceptances and publications, even if I managed to get there first for now. Keep on weirding, keep on writing, so you'll eventually keep on winning. ✊

Only you could believe that of me. But, and there's so many credits to give, many thanks to you in particular for being part of the impetus and motivating drive to sit down, grind away, and hammer out this story into professional shape so it could be sent off the first magazine it was, you bastard.

Thanks! Though Steve's the one who chose the cover, of course. Been holding this news for months and it was a labor and a half not to spill it out until now. Glad it's been getting a good reception, now that it's here, before the story comes out!

Thanks! Hasn't quite hit me fully, maybe once I see the story in "print," but thank you for all the times you were there for the rejections.

The fat bodies being tenderly depicted and them being joined together in intimacy so delicately, yet rawly sexual is a given, so I would go on to point out the versality: from your earliest comics, to DÉLICATESSE, to your ShortBox comics swinging betwixt beauty and horror without missing a step...

I get that now, appreciate the clarification.

How're you doing today?
February 10, 2026 at 4:53 AM
I don't mind someone else answering too. Appreciated, actually. It's just my friend, who's a major Lynchhead, was emphatic that there was a notable difference between the Lynch-stayed and Lynch-left material and, well... whether I want to start and commit to it or not swings like a metronome.
