I've read all the books. The Spartans are so good and interesting and Halsey is such a monster but also the Spartans love their momma and it's got a ton of great layers that the games refuse to touch. And now they just fight big scary ape people who are one-dimensional blood and guts guys.

Sure. Back to the point of the CEO who was on his way to brag to investors about how many claims he denied. That's institutional violence. When insurance companies deny claims they sentence death. Just because he didn't pull a trigger doesn't absolve him.

Nice cherry picked stats. We have one of the lowest life expectancies of any major country. It's not doomerism to accept the facts and demand that we do better. It's optimism that I even bother to argue for M4A these days. We deserve better and we can do better.

And if you want to get anecdotal, ask anybody who doesn't have insurance about their "outcomes." They get little or no care and are then shoved out onto the street. And the folks who do have insurance get fucked by profit-driven insurers who have a strict profit motive to deny claims

Socialized medicine is a murder world? Guess Canada is tougher than I thought. And the US has poor outcomes relative to our spending. We blow every other major country out of the water in our per-capita spending yet see nothing except extra money in the pockets of insurance companies

Actually to answer your first question, yes. If a hospital turns somebody away, they could die. We as a society have the means to provide healthcare to everybody that needs it and we've decided that keeping a privatized system is more important.

Agree. Safety penalties should be harsh. Haven't heard either way but I'd hope these things are discussed in briefings with FIA prior to the race
