I was scrolling through and Gyoza stopped me in my tracks. I had a “wait, that’s my cat” moment. Including tax of Gyoza’s twin, Portabella…currently napping through her shift as home office assistant.

More Covid knitting 🧶. Hope my bicycle loving father-in-law likes them. If not, my gamer husband is threatening to steal them. These start at the fingers and work their way down. Kind of love the technique!

I’m finally starting to feel like I might eventually start feeling like myself again. I can measure my progress in how well I can focus on knitting projects. Here are two of the three I finished since I got sick. Started the socks a while ago…but the mitts all done that first week.

Ok…positive things are hard for me right now. So, in lieu, I’ll focus on knitting progress or other small achievements. I have struggled with these socks. I’ve dropped stitches, I’ve fouled the pattern, I’ve ripped back to the heel flap twice. But I am persisting, because I don’t freaking quit.

Thanks for this…the breather is helpful! Working on my son’s Xmas socks. Pandas have always been his thing. This little guy will be holding a red heart when I get around to duplicate stitching it on. Deep breath….on to the heel flap!

Finished my socks. Simple pattern so it took a lot of moral support from my feline assistant to get through the second one. She’s resting up. 🧶

I know it’s not Caturday yet….but Portabella looks like she’s ready for the weekend. Life as the home-office cat in charge of morale is rough!

Happy Caturday from Portabella. She went blind last year, but immediately set about learning how to get to the good things that were still out there to be found. She’s a champion snuggler, still supervises all board games, and gets as many treats as she likes.

Happiness is starting a new project! Going to be a light sweater….and maybe it will even fit me!
