It can do a year of calcs quicker, but then supercomps have been able to run these kinds of models for a long time too. It’s a big stretch to expect something that at times can’t correctly count the number of particular letters in a word, to suddenly determine the answers to really complex problems

I’m a massive nerd who keeps myself abreast of this stuff. I guess I just think I find myself on the opposite side of the fence to you on the actual capability of AI as it currently exists.

I think it’s currently very Emperor’s New Clothes and the bubble may be about to burst

Mate we’ve been hearing better batteries, chips and fusion have been just around the corner since I was a bairn, and I’m nearly 50 now

I think you’re missing a few really important points here. Much of this was prophesied post mechanisation too. Never underestimate the cost to implement this stuff being multiple times higher than paying someone minimum wage and perhaps more importantly business’ ability to create meaningless jobs

Sexual impropriety game, recognises other sexual impropriety game

It’s the same on NHS laptops, but they’ll potentially discipline staff for discussing a patient in earshot of someone else. Make it make sense man.

It’s wild to have the GDPR regs we have only to let co-pilot have access to everything

I’m sorry but this is the second time you’ve posted this and it’s largely toxic bollocks that puts people off running, rather than providing the encouragement you think it does

Agreed nothing to get excited about, but equally there’s no information released to suggest that the rational way to look at it is not only from a glass half empty stance, but the glass being cracked and half full of piss either 🤷‍♂️

I’m pretty sure the external
Consultancy companies commissioned to do the work still have done so.

Well it could also just mean that they’ve not shared anything yet. Which given the turmoil in the clubs senior management positions is just as likely.

The guy has been here a matter of weeks man, even at the end ASM was injured more than he was available
November 13, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Think it’s more he wasn’t able to press consistently and was continually injured more than an issue of not liking him
November 13, 2025 at 12:39 PM
It would be less of an issue if the GPU was RDNA 4 with hardware optimised for FSR 4, but alas it isn’t and FSR 3 isn’t great

It’s almost as if his majority of his political donors had an ulterior motive

This is really nothing new, I left the RAF 6 years ago and despite being on almost constant Ops for the last half of my career, I realised when I visited the terminations clerk that this was the most aggressive language I’d heard in years. Kinetic effect indeed

The HDMI is apparently HDMI 2.1 complaint (as in can do 4k 120) just not some of the higher refresh rates which need DSC

But yeah Bazzite is basically community derived SteamOS, but not quite as polished
November 12, 2025 at 8:34 PM
Yeah, but Nvidia support is still not great (or at least wasn’t at my last deep dive look) and I have a 5080.

Hence the thought of trying to make a Bazzite box with an AMD gpu, when I do upgrade the guts of my main PC to AM5

November 12, 2025 at 8:16 PM
My genuine hope is that they can put SteamOS out for PC’s with Nvidia GPU’s.

Already thinking of using my current PC guts with an AMD gpu as a bazzite box, when I finally upgrade my main rig to AM5
November 12, 2025 at 8:15 PM
I get that and maybe Steam OS itself is less arduous to run than Windows, which might make it punch above its weight from what we expect from similar components on W11.

But 8gb of VRAM is already causing issues on some titles, never mind going forwards

Think there’s occasionally some blue coveralls these days too with the RAF trying to reclaim some corporate identity.

No idea about those fish head lot on carriers, I tried my best to avoid that for 23 years, lest they try to put beautiful me in “the barrel” 🤣
