Now that the film is out, my favourite interesting bit of trivia of Guillermo del Toro’s FRANKENSTEIN is that this isn’t only adaptation where Charles Dance plays Victor Frankenstein’s Father. He also played the character 10 years prior in VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN.

Just like the original short films that inspired this, the TERRIFIER vibes are very obvious even though it’s not as ultraviolent as that franchise. Still this feature length version wasn’t too bad. There’s a memorable moments throughout it in the title character is creepy. 2.5/5 #31DaysOfHorror

This was another one of those films that I’ve been wanting to see for quite a while and now that I have, I can definitely say I dug it a lot. Even it sticks close to the tropes of the genre, it’s an really entertaining, gory and vibrate LBGTQ+ slasher film with a solid cast. 3.5/5 #31DaysOfHorror

After delivering the worst in the series with V/H/S/BEYOND, this Halloween themed 8th entry is the best one in the franchise since the second one for me. All the segments are consistently strong and feature many great moments.“Kidprint” in particular was just very disturbing. 3.5/5 #31DaysOfHorror

Yeah. Outside of the strong first film, this fifth entry in the franchise continues to show that the HELL HOUSE LLC series is the most disappointing modern horror franchise. While the shift away from found-footage is bold, this sequel is over-long, poorly acted and simply boring. 1/5 #31DaysOfHorror

*Sigh*… I can see what Bryan Bertino is going for here, sadly I absolutely hated this. While Dakota Fanning & Kathryn Hunter were solid and it has good atmosphere, they cant save this ugly, boring, relentlessly dark and mean-spirited misfire that wastes its interesting premise. 1/5 #31DaysOfHorror

While it isn’t as memorable or as campy as the original 1992 film, I thought this remake was still solid for what it is. Despite being predictable and a little too slow at times, but it’s still well made and both Maika Monroe & Mary Elizabeth Winstead gave great performances. 3/5 #31DaysOfHorror

Even though I’ve seen variations of this type of vampire story before, director Brad Anderson still makes a really engaging horror film that both tackles its themes quite well and has strong turns from its cast. Michelle Monaghan & Finlay Wojtak-Hissong were the standouts. 3.5/5 #31DaysOfHorror

I’ve been meaning to see this Hammer horror classic for a while now. Especially since it’s based on the CARMILLA story. Having seen a few variations on it, this is definitely one of the best takes of it. It’s very well acted/crafted, full of gothic imagery, creepy and even sexy. 4/5 #31DaysOfHorror

While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel and it does things we’re seen many times before in other zombie films, I still found this one from Kimo Stamboel to be a pretty solid horror film nonetheless due its strong performances, effective make-up/gore and really intense sequences. 3.5/5 #31DaysOfHorror
