I saw the Haus of Hands pillows and now need to make one more than anything. It's all I think about. I need a giant hand. I need two. I need to wear them like a scarf. I need to high five my friends with them. I keep staring at the website thinking THAT SHOULD BE ME!!!

My scrap fabric stash is out of control and I've been thinking using it as stuffing will use it up quick. I've finally found a sewing project that I like - this cool ass cactus! My progress so far lol as in I haven’t actually started bc I wanted to use what I had and I didn't have a soft fabric pot

Anyway what should I read first?

I've wanted one of these for ages and now I have a new problem. All this extra fabric. I could make a cropped top with that lovely thick waistband. I love a matching set. Or, I could use that fabric to make the sleeves bigger and more voluminous. I don't believe there's enough to do both. What to do

I really thought I'd kept the button that fell off and then I thought I could use a fun button but noo. These white ones work nicely and it matches the mismatched theme. This is my current favourite shirt.

Okay I had to swap an item out bc it needed three things done to it and today is all about simple straightforward fixes. Anyway I've owned this shirt for years and I never wear it bc of the fit. Now it fits at the waist. It's actually ridiculous how long I've put off these projects.

I made this top from the legs of some pants I turned into shorts. They make such a fun set. Unfortunately the straps had stretched on these - tbf I didn’t reinforce them in any way. This one was just cutting down the length and reattaching the straps. Fits much better now.

This fucking thing is a mess. I self-drafted it when I should have been learning how to use basic patterns. Miraculously it's stood the test of time. It's just got the ugliest seams and hems. This was another popped seam job. I had used two different threads and neither were the right colour ffs.

This one was an issue of popped seams which I tackled once before when I was much younger and newer to sewing. Perhaps if I hadn't used white thread in the serger this wouldn't have been such an obvious problem lmao. Again so simple.

That was way too easy. There's not much noticeable difference since the garment fits me well but the elastic would only unravel more with time. I don’t love this in black, it's not me, but I've been meaning to clone it and I have this nice dark green that is Very me. Another project for another day.

Today I'm tackling my mending pile and setting (hopefully) achievable goals. I've put aside 8 garments that need minor mending or adjusting. I'm recording it all here for accountability. Also I like to keep records 🪡🧵

At the night picnic we saw a baby fox creep from the grass toward the clearing by the river, backlit by the moon. So perfectly framed. Head low, back arched, tail thick with fur, on skinny legs. I want to draw the scene but Fox Hard. I can just see it so clearly. It was so silent.

Decorations for Valentine's have began. I'm rubbing my crafty little hands together menacingly.

Okay I'm reasonably sure that I can either find or frankenstein patterns for all of these. And for the snake headpiece, well, I can dream.
