So how long do you reckon you should wait to hear back from a journal about a submitted article before deciding to pull it and try somewhere else? It's been with them since August...

Due to complicated, unexpected reasons, I am now teaching a module on science fiction cinema. This week is scientists in a rocket killing moon men; next week is three hours of German expressionism and robots. All feeling quite far from my usual patch.
