Cat mom. Crafter. Amateur western Washington landscaper. 80% science, 20% woo.
I'm unfamiliar with Tobias Forge and Vanden Plas, but that was a *gorgeous* rendition of Gethsemane.

Bonus points if you coat their Deplorean with vinegar.

Yes, it's as much a poll tax as any other ID law, and I'm pretty sure that goes for men who don't have this type of ID as well. The extra work and expense is when women who've changed their names have to do it again before the ID naturally expires.

That's not what the bill would do. It would require an ID that has your current legal name and for which you've proven your US citizenship. Married women who change their names would need to get a new ID to reflect the change. www.verifythis.com/article/news...
Yes, the SAVE Act could make it harder for people who have changed their last name to register to vote
The SAVE Act, which hasn’t been passed, could make it harder for married women and others who have changed names to register to vote, like posts online claim.

Get wool base layers and wool socks. (Unless you're vegan, of course.) Those have been my best investment for outdoor winter gear.

No country is "the best" overall. Thinking that everything needs to be a competition is what breaks down alliances and makes everyone else an enemy.

Even in middle school, we were encouraged every week to buy these ribbons with "our team violently verbs the other team" printed on them. It was sick.

That's Bergenia, aka pigsqueak! I'm not much of a pink person, but I've kept ours that came with the house since they bloom in cold months when there's not much else for the pollinators and hummingbirds.

It's good that CIF is following the Don't Obey in Advance directive. Slow them down. Drag it out. Make them "investigate."

Back before organic farm products became mainstream, brown eggs were a clue that the eggs were from chickens (Rhode Island Red) that may have been treated better than their caged counterparts (White Leghorn). The better treatment led to better eggs for flavor and shell strength. Not so much now.

I've always taken my rosemary cuttings of new growth in June, dipped in rooting hormone, and placed in potting soil.
