My daughter likes Little Red Riding Hood. On the 6th read, this sentence struck me. "He ran straight to the bed, and without even saying a good-morning, he ate up the poor grandmother in one gulp." Would the swallowing of the grandma been more acceptable had he said, Good Morning? Dubious.
