Gen X liberal, mom to humans and dogs, music lover, edtech / data nerd at a public school district (for now)
Xmas trip flight delayed 1.5 hours because there was a missing section of reflective tape in the exit row and that's how long it took to get approval and fix it. Thanks Sean Duffy. Please go back to being a reality show lumberjack. PS - I wore my baggiest sweatpants just for you.

The Pee Wee Herman doc is so good, but also kind of a depressing gut punch.

Hmmm.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame.

The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight.

It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

To the creator of today's NYT Strands puzzle: well-played.

Also...whatever. We don't even care.

There should be a thread of ideas for good ways to spend 1/20. Many of us have the day off, and sure as hell won't be watching the inauguration. What can we do instead on that day to make the world a bit better?

I don't even want people to follow me back because it's too much pressure. I follow people because they are more interesting than me. Isn't that the whole point?
Publicly demanding that people follow you back on social media is elementary school playground behavior

Misheard Christmas song lyrics - what are yours?
For way too long, I thought Eartha Kitt, Madonna, et al wanted the deed to a "platten of mine," and felt dumb that I didn't know what that meant. Now I think a platinum mine seems like kind of an unreasonable request.

I used to post funny stuff on social media years ago and then majorly lurked on Twitter for nigh on a decade. Blue Sky seems promising and there's never been a better time to commiserate with like-minded folks. I was followed by a celebrity within hours of joining though so it's a lot of pressure.
