Absolutely.

Not quite a plot hole but never made clear enough for me was whether the two had mutual consciousness/memory. I certainly don’t care enough to want to analyze or debate it, but I think the movie was annoyingly fuzzy on this point.

I actually thought it was pretty bad. It hammered us with its one theme and the last twenty minutes were so weird and gross that I fast-forwarded through most of it and was relieved when it was over. Demi Moore was great though. Margaret Q was not the right actress for her role, in my opinion.

The Vegetarian by Han Kang. It was on my very long TBR list but then it won the Booker prize and got prioritized.

I have the opposite situation here. I’ve been avoiding the news as much as possible since the election and making progress on my TBR pile. I just can’t deal with reality right now.
