Just made one with my mother at her nursing home. It was yesterday's activity for the residents! Now everyone has one on their bedroom door.

I watched and loved it (can't believe its not more popular!), then read the books. I think it's impossible to read and not think of how the show portrays characters. In some ways having seen it first, ruins the novels... You'd have to be able to zap your memory and start entirely fresh.
