Had to wait an extra light cycle bc this @metrotransitmn.bsky.social driver rolled right up into the crosswalk when I had a green light. When I told him he was in the crosswalk he yelled, "you have more mobility than me!"

Tour de Minneapolis Parks continues!! We rode to Powderhorn Park and Sheridan Memorial Park yesterday. It was a great day for bike riding (minus the reckless drivers, sometimes I feel like a bad parent for bringing my kid out.)

The whole idea of Open Streets is kinda blemished by MPD Traffic Control sitting on their phones while countless drivers roll through this crosswalk. This is just the 1 light cycle I recorded, but I watched about 3 dozen cars cut off pedestrians while I ate my lunch on this corner.

I wish our streets could look like this more than once a year. Kids deserve to play and we deserve some public space not devoted to loud, ugly, polluting cars. #minneapolis

Here at Lake Hiawatha Park! The splash pads at the parks are so great. These "big" kids are having a blast in a few feet of water and it's free and I'm sitting in the shade, working on a crossword. We love Mpls parks ❤️

Minneapolis ❤️ A summer goal is to visit as many Minneapolis public playgrounds as possible!! Stewart Park is gorgeous and the play structure is huge!

Our e-bike takes us all over! Neighborhood garage sales, grocery run, library visits, etc. Now Mpls just needs more protected lanes (really hate biking with my kid on Minnehaha, right in the door zone) and bike racks!

Happy Saturday from the Minneapolis Midtown Farmer's Market!! This is the first place I reconnected with community in 2021 and it's one of my absolute favorite things to do in Minneapolis.

It was a great day for biking in Minneapolis! Hit up the Midtown Farmer's Market with the family, then dropped them off at home so I could stop at the garden store and put big bags of compost in the kid corral on the bike!

A lot of ppl lately have been complaining about "those fast e-bikes," as if e-bikes are a threat to our collective safety. Here's my kid gearing up for a 8-10mph ride to his cousin's house, then a neighborhood festival and later a park that's too far to walk to, but a perfect 1 mile ride.

I already didn't like Becka Thompson and her campaign, but their latest email is disgusting. She implies that people only support CM Chowdury bc of her race and/or that she (Becka) would be more popular if she wasn't white. Truly awful campaign she's running.
Email that reads, "look, I might not have the right haircut, or the desired amount of melanin. Maybe I didn't tweet the party line that one day or show up for that big protest with everyone else the next. I wasn't very good at doing the popular thing in high school either."

I bought a ticket to this dinner about a month ago, and I got an email receipt saying, "your ticket will get sent in another email" Has anyone going to this gotten their ticket?

I rode the bus, in my @ourstreetsmn.org Open Streets 2016 t-shirt! The bus was 12 minutes behind schedule 🫠 should've biked. We need more transit funding and dedicated bus lanes!!

Minneapolis needs safe streets everywhere!! A patchwork system of safe streets is unfair to walkers, bikers, transit riders, and especially our kids. Quieter, slower, less car-filled streets are better for the humans and the planet.

Hey, do you like Metro Transit? Do you ride the Blue Line, A Line, 74, 9? If so, please fill out this survey. Metro Transit is considering closing this public sidewalk that connects neighbors East and North of the 46th Station to the train and bus platforms. This is bad for transit riders!!
