Industrial waste or upcycled beauty?
What you're looking at isn't a natural gemstone. It's Blue Ice Glacierite, a byproduct of industrial processing. This vibrant blue material was discarded as industrial waste, but beauty has a funny way of revealing itself in unexpected places.

Finished taking out the Bermuda. Next steps: Remove remaining soil, dig a deep trench around the edge, install edging, lay down cardboard, rebuild the frame and refill the bed, plant/replant the pretty natives. I have more than will fit in that area. The last remaining pepper bed may not last. 😆

Forgot to post this. Came home from Tuscon to this lovely sight. They never did produce roots, but now I know that Desert Mallow makes a great addition to a cut flower bouquet!!!!!

Bundled up the few plants I want to have an extra shot at surviving this week. Staged a few others to be moved to the garage. That stupid 4 nerve daisy took 3 years to do something. Not risking it. Lol

Everything else will have to Darwin its way through the absurd cold.

3 Week Pepper Grow Update

Majority have sprouted at least 1. Most have first set of true leaves. 2nd set is when I need to start thinking about up potting them.

Have a few duds. Started a fourth tray to try again plus extra Jalapeño and Serrano (Second tab on the spreadsheet).

Usually your favorite cat is your cat. Other people's cats are cute and all, but they're not YOUR cats.

Meet the exception to the rule. This is Radar, my mom's cat. Radar LUVs everybody.

You show up and he is rubbing all over you begging for pets and scritches and laps.

Lol
