The sky after the storm... We are all dealing with a storm of epic proportions but I really hope that eventually we'll come out of it in the dark gray clouds will give way to sunshine and blue sky again.

Here in Southern California, we have not seen rain in almost a year, at least nothing measurable. There are still fires burning down at the border and some in LA County. I am very much hoping that this will help put those out. I do worry, however, about landslides from the burn areas. 😢

This past week has been hell. My birthday was the day after the election so you can just imagine how I was feeling. My students made me feel better. And when anyone talks shit about teenagers, let me tell you, this bouquet and gift card and vase were from a high school senior. ♥️
