Adventures in #dollrestoration: Did you know that taking a hair flattener or a curling iron at the lowest temps to wet doll hair straighens frizzy plastic hair strands? The doll itself was $20 on eBay so if I accidentally melted and burned the plastic… uh… oops… but that didn’t happen thank god.

Wish there was a way to post stuff from Insta. Latest creative spark: doll restoration. Did you know that replacing cyborg eyes involves using boiling water to soften the vinyl to pop the eyes out & in? A sturdy wooden spoon handle works wonders too. Kinda creepy but easy enough! #dollrestoration

Fun things I find online: the Denver Art Museum has a Maurice Sendak exhibit going on. One of the pieces on display is a 14-foot-tall goose used in “The Goose of Cairo” performance at the Lyric Opera in #kansascity in 1986. https://www.denverartmuseum.org/en/wild-things-exhibition-guide-chapter-10
