Starting this week with an impression I can't shake no matter how much I try to reason around it:

Am I reading things correctly here? The papers this morning led with the <1000 xenophobes protesting outside migrant hotels, while largely ignoring the 100k people who marched in London yesterday supporting trans rights?

i'm convinced that good things happen to me in life only to set me up for even larger pain down the road.
Life is either pain, or worse pain teased with something good.
Hopefully that changes some day. So far this has been the case without fail.
