I'm very lucky to have gotten copies of Stamped (For Kids) donated to my classroom, and even luckier to be in a school where I can still teach the missing pieces of American history freely as part of my middle school ELA curriculum.

From one of the most important books we'll ever read.

"Dumb as a bag of hammers" is now one of my favorite similes. I may have to share that one with my students tomorrow.

I'm all uncomfortable. Maybe the next will be better.
