Doing research is nice and all, but it complicates things. If I could only teach, supervise and examine students, do admin, and edit other peoples works, I'd be okay with the limits of my time and energy, but as soon as I try to actually do any of my own work, everything falls apart.

OMG what an excellent idea – both the connection with Pelennor Fields but also Homecoming. I doubt most students, even the Tolkien nerds, have heard of it.
