I’m so glad I refused to leave this unusually friendly unclaimed kitty out on the street ( she was following us around at a block party) . Although only 6 lbs and approx 10 months old, she was PREGNANT 😭 . Baby girl is now spayed and we are fostering her until she’s adopted. 💕 meet Angelica 🥰

I’m so excited to share I’ll be speaking at #PS2025 (June 19 at 2:30 PM on Rick Doblin's stage) in Denver, sharing insights on lived experience in psychedelic care. I'm part of a groundbreaking panel, a first at Psychedelic Science led by MDMA-assisted therapy trial participants.

This person was blocked not because I’m disinterested in preventing war but because I think intentionally withholding healthcare from soldiers is a wildly fucked up and irrational solution

good question. I've always thought the approaches would be very similar. Chat GPT doesn't see much a difference between a person centered approach and an IHI centered approach to mdma-at. Curious what others think.

The opposite approach to utilizing the concept of IHI in MDMA-AT would be an approach that prioritizes external control, directive interventions, and symptom-based treatments, rather than trusting in the client’s innate ability to heal through emotional processing and self-regulation.

Food for thought for all those writing off the concept of the Inner Healing Intelligence. Is this what you're wanting?

It is finished ! 🥵 My research paper as part of my capstone project. “Group Art Therapy for Psychedelic Integration: A Qualitative Study”here’s to hoping maybe one day I’ll get to actually do it 🤞

Okay this is new info for me, super interesting . Now I’m more curious

Stopped me in my tracks to read this in my art therapy research. This sounds much like the “inner healing intelligence” , a belief in a patients innate creative capacity to heal themselves

Reminder of what humanistic psychology is according to the APA's Humanistic Psychotherapies: Handbook of Research and Practice

This is from the APA's Humanistic Psychotherapies: Handbook of Research and Practice, Second Edition. Would you call this pseudoscientific and superstitious? Serious question.

I would say the IHI concept is firmly grounded in established psychological principles. The field of art therapy is based on almost identical principles. I see it as a move towards a non pathologized and thus more "client-empowering"
trend that is seen in the mental health field as a whole

.".group art therapy practice can focus on relationships, connection, and repair rather than symptom reduction alone.... art therapy has a rich history in working w/o diagnosis and outside medical models. Within the social models of art therapy groups, members report:

The lack of crossover between psychedelic-AT and art therapy is surprising to me. there are some doing it! but not enough. In school I’m Working on developing a (hypothetical) research supported pilot study to see if group art therapy can support psychedelic integration. Early brain storming map
