The underdog stories are fading in Group C, but we are setting up for a Nov. 18 meeting between Costa Rica and Honduras in San Jose that could be winner-take-all for direct World Cup qualification.
October 14, 2025 at 11:16 AM
Costa Rica and Honduras decided to have a rock fight instead of playing a soccer match, which means Haiti is top of the group!

Les Grenadiers have a chance to qualify for their first World Cup since 1974.

3 draws from 3 matches for the Ticos is crazy, also

In three years of Leagues Cup, one (1) Liga MX team has made the semifinals. Really undermines the sporting credibility of the competition. Gotta start playing some of these matches in Mexico.

Thunder Bay Chill? I haven’t even heard of—MY GOD IT’S BEAUTIFUL.

USL League Two team in Canada is prime sickos stuff too.

Haiti has to be disappointed with that result, just too sloppy in the final third. Saudi Arabia continues a tradition of strong results for guest teams.

Somehow nobody scored a goal in 180 minutes of Group A action. And weirdly, they were probably the two best games of the tournament so far

STUNNER in Monterrey. Pachuca scores 2 goals past the 80-minute mark to book their place in the quarterfinals!

The kickoff of Juarez-Pumas in the Clausura play-in got delayed for over an hour because the city of Juarez is currently in a dust bowl. Because CONCACAF.

The Liga MX playoffs always deliver the drama and this year should be no different. Looking forward to the Liguilla with 2 Club World Cup participants, a grande, and Juarez having arguably the best season in their history.

Two golazos for Necaxa ⚡️

Los Rayos have won 3 in a row and are up to 3rd in the table, ahead of León and Tigres 📈

After two snoozefests Tuesday night, this was a proper CONCACAF match with scuffles, lights going out, and Coco Carrasquilla scoring a banger.

We’ll see if Vancouver can pull off some second-leg magic for the third straight round.

Liga MX is the best, man. Matchday 11 gave us:
- Atlas coming back from a 3-0 second-half deficit to win 4-3 (including a scorpion kick goal)
- Wooden Spoon leaders Santos Laguna with a 2-1 comeback win over 1st place León
- Toluca coming back from 2-0 down to win 5-2 (Vega hat trick)

Huge bounce-back win for RSL after getting blown out by San Jose last weekend and losing to Herediano in CCC.

The Sounders, who have trophy aspirations this year, currently have more own goals than points in the table.

Obviously a tough grading curve against Messi and friends, but hard to think that SKC is a serious club that will make the playoffs, let alone contend for trophies.

Plenty of squandered chances and gaffes at the back, and the one goal came off a massive deflection.

Second straight game with somebody getting their first international goal!

[believing intensifies]

The first MLS Champions Cup matches of 2025 gave us:
- Djordje Mihailovic 🇺🇸 brace
- Messi doing it on a 3-degree night in Missouri
- Proof of concept for Seattle and Cincinnati’s trophy-worthy teams
- Squeaky bum time against Costa Rican teams in return legs

Is the arrival of Sergio Ramos 🇪🇸enough to save Monterrey?

Rayados are 1-3-2 and sit in 12th place through the first 6 matchdays.
February 9, 2025 at 1:32 PM
Club América has won all four of its matches since its A team returned from playing Messi in Vegas.

Alex Zendejas 🇺🇸 has 6 goal contributions (3G+3A) in that time!

Gut punch result for Cibao 🇩🇴, all things considered. Took the lead seconds into the game, defended valiantly, then conceded the equalizer in the 100th minute with the last touch of the match.

The DR continues to rise in CONCACAF, though!

Ever since Martín Anselmi pulled a Baltimore Colts and left in the night to go manage Porto, Cruz Azul has scored 6 goals and won both of its matches

Pachuca, León, Mazatlán, and Juarez, 4 teams who missed the playoffs in the Apertura, now in the top 6 in the Clausura after 4 matchdays.
