Just stunning - I’ve been on the trail of some jewels this week and Elizabeth I was literally the queen of them.

I love this panel on the Battle of Lewes memorial. Yesterday was spent studying the priory records - where the king’s forces retreated and where in the 1800’s the bodies of hundreds of those killed were uncovered.
