Katherine of Aragon’s grave covered in wreaths a few days ago. I like to think she would have appreciated both the sentiment and the pomegranates….and the fact she is named as Queen of England 😉 Anne Stanhope who features in my new book began her life at court in Katherine’s service.

I love this panel on the Battle of Lewes memorial. Yesterday was spent studying the priory records - where the king’s forces retreated and where in the 1800’s the bodies of hundreds of those killed were uncovered.
