Never thought I'd miss the days when every other article she wrote for the Guardian was about either Friends or Sex and the City, years after both shows ended. Those subjects were at least within her competency as a journalist.

As many have pointed out, this is not a ban on trans people, it's a ban on people strangers think might be trans.

I had a discussion with one transphobe on X who said she would be fine with being misgendered and challenged by 'toilet police', as a kind of willing sacrifice to the cause. An unhinged cult.

These are people who are totally OBSESSED with trans people and make their ENTIRE lives about their ‘gender critical’ transphobic ideological beliefs - seeking to abuse their positions of power and influence to PUSH their ideology on others.

There are SENIOR people (people in positions of immense influence and power) installed at the BBC, who are (in Alastair Campbell’s words) “*SO* far over in the JK Rowling camp”…

Presumably, he means “so far over in the ‘gender critical’ transphobe camp” - not just slightly, but “SO far”…
