Thanks for all your ideas Todd! The soil in this spot is primarily sandy and somewhat loamy so if that helps then I’ve got that step licked. Trouble is, they are active in this soil type. 🤪 I will definitely look into potentially helpful companion plants, thank you again for the ideas! 🌿

Definitely sounds like something to be careful of for anyone with cochlear implants! Poor guy. So neat that they worked for you without having to trap!

Let me know in the comments if you want a tutorial on how to make these, whether it’s for a gopher-proof planting hole, a structure for shade cloth, a cage to keep deer or rabbits off a special plant, or a very coarse water filter... l

This recipe is also free of coconut coir, perlite, and vermiculite. If you try this mix, let me know how it works for you!

It hates to be transplanted though so you can just plant seeds directly in the soil
