As an Old who was almost literally there at the dawn of e-discovery, I’m blown away by this revelation. It makes total sense though, and my first question about the emails being searchable was “but how do you search with that freestyle spelling?” Now I get it.

Husband, also a trial lawyer, just sat on a jury last month and said the same. He was careful not to impose his views and was impressed with the way the jury worked together. Faith in the system reinforced!

I only learned about the roast beef initialism thing last year; with over half a century of consumerism under my belt, I just thought Arby's was a goofy down-home kind of name, so I'm going with fanciful.
