Rashford can’t play up front and can’t play as a Number 10.
Selling him and freeing up wages and cash to buy players that do fit seems very sensible imo.

Never really saw the fuss over Dan Ashworth tbh but absolute shambles to go through all they did to get him to give up after 5 months - he’s input must have been truly shocking

Wonder where we might Mazraoui once we get to play a back 3 of Martinez, De Ligt, Yoro?
Left wing back makes sense as we are so weak there but I reckon he could be really good in CM.

Didn’t get to see the 2nd half but not too upset about the result.
As I said before, this season is almost a fact finding one for Amorim - which players can he trust, who can play where, who can improve.
Can’t find that out without it massively affecting your ability to get results all the time

This is the biggest difference between Ten Hag and Amorim. Amorim could fail, but he is at least trying to work towards longer term solutions. Ten Hag always seemed focused on doing whatever it took to get through a game. That’s probably why he did better in cups, but it’s not building to anything
