Good piece. I think we also underestimate Trossard's competitive streak - I was struck by Gabriel's interview with Sky recently - when asked who the best in the gym was, he answered Trossard straightaway, who wouldn't be the obvious pick.

He's a maximiser of his own talent and that's so valuable.

It was really strange because he spent a long time talking about Robertson's action when the rule specifically talks about an action to try to play the ball.

I think he's blinded by past friendships - which makes it entirely pointless.

I was thinking of the Fulham one because of the proximity to the keeper but both are relevant.

They've somehow made an objective offside law extremely subjective.

For those who will say by the letter of the law it should've stood - I agree - but I also think that rule is idiotic.

Agreed. On reflection Sunderland did well enough to get a draw. Their equaliser came from a defensive mistake, but so did our equaliser.
