I remember that it was sadly under restoration when I visited Notts so didn't get a chance to go in.
I did however, get these on consecutive visits. Pose more accurate on the second.
Someone had stolen half of his bow in that time mind. Wonder how it's looking these days.

We've made an offer on a 1933 art deco fire surround which we think will just about fit...
It's the only one I've really liked that stands a chance of fitting in the space we have for it so 🤞
It will certainly do better than the one we ripped out... (image from zoopla)

Update: design change was necessary but I really love it. Needed a different texture over here.
Need to get some other artwork and bits out but really happy we're closer to finishing this room now. Carpets got ordered yesterday!

Last night's quick project was lacquering the black walnut alcove shelves. Has brought out their grain rather nicely. Hoping we can actually get these up this weekend!
