The appeals court has managed to doublespeak their way out of a fight with the exec branch - they even WRITE that they are doing this - by essentially saying that while any plain speaking interpretation of the judge’s order would have stopped those planes, twisting the words made the action ok. Ugh!

Every day I think about the dedicated and qualified professionals out there - including those that are aligned with the GOP - who could be doing an excellent job in the various Secretary and Director roles in the regime. Instead we have control-obsessed sycophants failing us in these roles.

This story demonstrates how error-prone and systemically corrupt our medical system is today. The immigrant parent here tried to buy cheap insurance, it had exclusions he didn’t read, the hospital screwed up, and the billing was typically nuts. The solution ? Waive the fees. The system is broken.
