Well....it's finally snowing here in Minnesota. Perhaps today is a good day to get back into Noirvember by watching a Hawaiian-set noir. Also, if somebody had told me that Elsa Lanchester plays a cabbie in this one, I would have watched this sooner.

Don't get me started on all of the movies posters that I own which stil need frames. I also have a set of Shane lobby cards in which four of them still need frames. I also need to finally figure out what to do with this guy.

Agree with you on the ones from Casino and Last Temptation. The other ones I'd go with are the Steadicam leading to the title fight in Raging Bull. The Great Train Robbery homage at the end of GoodFellas. Oh! And I can't forget this one from Bringing Out the Dead.

This is the Columbo moment that I automatically thought of with your post.

It's been a year and a half since I last purchased anything from those Kino Lorber sales. As always, I might have went overboard this month during their recent sale. A few upgrades and quite a few blind buys.

A curse upon those who were on their phones as well as those who were Robert De Niro Cape Fear laughing at some of the acting. Otherwise, a great time and I wish there were more special screenings like this at the Fargo Theatre.

Another year, another great Fargo Record Fair haul.

Funny you should post this. I'm currently at a used book store and found a copy. I am sooooo tempted to buy it!

Another death this year that really hurts. I first watched Jeremiah Johnson, The Sting and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid during the summer when I turned 13, the same time period when my interest in films really kicked in. I'm not ready for this one....

RIP Robert Redford

A Pest in the House with bellboy Daffy Duck making hotel manager Elmer Fudd's life a living hell. I often think of this moment. God bless Chuck Jones.

I watched more Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies on Tubi and began diving into the Robert Altman series on Criterion Channel with two first time viewings.

Very obsessed with these shots from Robert Altman's That Cold Day in the Park (1969).

I'm feeling a bit adventurous and have decided to dedicate this month to watching every movie that's part of the Robert Altman series that's currently streaming on Criterion Channel. Quite a few of these are going to be first time viewings, including what I'm starting off with. Countdown (1967).

Porky Pig doing an impression of a fish in Robert Clampett's The Sour Puss is nightmare fuel.

I'm making an effort to watch as many new-to-me Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies that are currently available to stream on Tubi. Boy am I obsessed with these shots from the climax of Robert Clampett's The Hendpecked Duck.
