Phew! We’re all clear! Quentin Crisp was right the dust doesn’t get any thicker. 25 year’s worth wasn’t much more than when I normally dust places … every 6 months whether it needs it or not! 🙊🙊😂😂

Morning all. Big job today taking apart the sitting room so the decorator can start on Monday. It’s not been done for over 25 years. I’m dreading the dust on all those books 🙊🤭😂

The day just gets better. Our friends’ friend John Grimshaw is on this episode I’m watching of Gardener’s World! He’s just been out to see them in North Carolina! He’s got a gorgeous garden. I didn’t know he was going to be on!

We’ve been and booked the caterers for our neighbours pre-Christmas drinks aka candlelight supper. Hopefully it should please Mrs Dooms-Patterson and Dolly Mountshaft! They gave us coffee while we perused the menu.

We’re watching Tom Daley’s knitting show and the challenge of knitting a mohair jumper reminds me of this one. My friend Babs knitted it for me on her honeymoon in 1983 from a Jaeger pattern I bought. Here it is in 1986 and it still fits in 2025! 😆😆
