The deliberate misunderstanding of communication and even basic concepts is at unprecedented levels.

This is a grad student, by the way.

Such ignorance had been fuelled by feckless and unethical politicians and media, and we are all the worse for it. The future of the world feels bleak.

It immediately reminded me of Gade's work, which critiques capitalist globalism & its impacts on Tibetan people, landscape & culture.

Of course, Disneyland is not here yet, but just like the train, maybe in the future it will also come to Tibet. Tibet has gone through a cultural revolution, and now commercialism, so now Tibetan culture has become some sort of circus center, or resort center, where you can see everything. Some things are very foreign, almost extraterrestrial. All of these changes are not brought only by the train, but the train plays the role of instigator and is a focus point. So now we cannot place our identity in a fixed area, as there are too many things that have happened. And we feel this loss of identity, and maybe we are the only generation to experience such a thing. I am just displaying such circumstances."

Went to Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival with my partner & friends to see Lemn Sissay

Poetry, performance, & philosophy in equal measure, Lemn was full of charm & completely comedic - an inspiration.

I've not laughed so hard in a long time 🙏

He first stopped at St David's Station when he first arrived in the UK around the age of 7 years old.

This a sketch of him, dated 1871, which was done at the station.
