you were so tired that day of course you don't... why am I even surprised

The last time this happened, I lost my FAVORITE custom brush which I used to make these. I've not been able to duplicate this look/feel since. I have no idea what past me did to make these look so traditional XD

the frame of the drawing broke the other day (all my clumsiness, really)
and the drawing fell out
and on the other side of it there were a few lines written with my grandpa's hand:
"there's nothing better than the mountains except for our lovely granddaughter"
and I burst into tears

we kinda fell out of touch for a bit and then his illness got worse and now he doesn't recognize me
he acts politely on the phone when I call but he doesn't... remember me

when I left home I made a point to take it with me. no one saw much value in any of the drawings he gave away so I kinda wanted to prove everyone wrong. framed it and everything, took it to every apartment. it's still with me even after I moved countries

I have a picture he drew a couple of years back, it's a drawing of the mountains
he did a whole bunch of drawings that day and gifted this specific one to me
