I've tried Firesong before and never really was able to make it gel. Throwing instants around, even with upgrades, just doesn't make enough impact at the table.

Nintendo also has this weird history of every second console iteration being a (relative) flop... So S2, especially with the timing of the tariff nightmare and global recession threat, is definitely looking like carrying on the curse.

Man, I loved Seiken Densetsu. If you never played it, there was a sequel that got a fan ROM-hack translation patch you can load up on emulator. Well worth the time to track down (or DM and I can send it)
