My favorite chocolates arrived for my birthday but they took almost a week to get to me. They have a short shelf life so not as fresh as usual but still amazing.

I’m outraged by the New Orleans Saints. It’s one thing not to glorify someone’s death but it’s another to celebrate a man who stood for everything wrong in our society. He was openly racist, bigoted, and hostile toward LGBTQ+ people — and the idea of paying tribute to him is simply baffling.

Where is the republican and MAGA outrage over this. Threatening to take away a is citizen’s citizenship is next level dictator sh!t. If Biden, Obama, or anyone else, had done this there would be talked of the 25th amendment.

Our baby girl made her last trip home from the vet today. I broke into tears at the vet’s office as they told me how much they loved her and will miss her. We miss you Billie.

Much to our great sadness, another local restaurant has closed down. This time it was Chef Nina Compton’s BABs (Bywater American Bistro), and one of our favorites. We were lucky enough to get a reservation for their final night and had an amazing meal as always.

Power came back on a few hours ago so went out for a bite to eat and now enjoying a Abita Bananas Foster beer and a pipe. Not a bad way to end the evening.

Went out to dinner with the hubby last night. It was “Pasta Party” night at BABs so we had all three selections and a couple of other things. Chef Nina never disappoints.

We had fantastic weather today so decided to get out for a bit of brunch. Went to N7 and sat in the “garden shed” next to the beautiful gardens. Of course, brunch was fantastic as always.
