Found my fandom during the start of Lovie's career, but suffering ever since he left. Waiting for *someone* to turn this franchise around.
Mainly, this clown had egg in his face

I forgot he was still in the league.

This was Raymond before Ben Johnson and his second stint with the Lions, with the Titans.

Still not great for Scott...
March 14, 2025 at 12:48 AM
Raymond is Detroit's WR4. I don't think we have WR3 on our roster, our Tim Patrick/bigger back-up body type.

Honestly, "WR3" will be WR3a & WR3b for this team. 2 different types of backup WRs with special teams value. Though Patrick didn't take any ST snaps last year & hasn't since his rook szn...

Great depth player. Zaccheaus is going to make your WR3 work for his job or Z will claim the job.

Obviously, Z is WR3 until something else happens. I suspect Scott is going to fight for WR3, but I have low hopes for him now.

If Scott can become DETs Raymond, that'd be nice.

Their cap will come under control once they sort out Smith's long term deal. Kelce's contract needs to be sorted to create room too.

If they do want to add a player like Stanley, something will have to give with Mahomes, Jones, &/or Taylor's contracts.

How you do that? It's above my paygrade. 😆

I was interested in targeting C Jonah Monheim in the draft. The more I look into him, he's not what BenJo wants. His size is worrisome.

Per Lennox Tate of nfldraftbuzz.com
"Stalemates rather than drives in run game – positions himself correctly but rarely creates lanes through physical domination."
March 5, 2025 at 11:23 PM
After the Trey Smith tag, and especially after the Jonah Jackson trade, I came around to the idea of aggressively pursuing Drew Dalman. He's a 3 year NFL starter, at 26/27 years old, which sounds like the organization is looking for in their OL -- veterans.

The center position is clearly still a need. While I like prospect, Ricky Stromberg isn't going to cut it. I could see him being a camp surprise and a valuable assets in the future, he is nothing more than a practice squad project.
March 5, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Clearly, I made a bad prediction with that & I'm happy about it.

The other half of my prediction is still on the table. I suspect, 2024 2nd round pick OT, Kingsley Suamataia will be shifted to guard.

These moves indicate to me the Chiefs have a FA target in mind: Ronnie Stanley

Two thoughts:

While I'm not shocked walker was cut, I thought he had a role on this team, see 🟢.

While I want Mack back bc if his run defense, from a pass rushing perspective, I wonder if he's needed, see 🔵.

1) I need more Bears followers

2) Which player, you *have to* choose only 1 of these 2, who do you pick?
February 11, 2025 at 3:12 AM
The next question is Travis Kelce. This issue won't be as big as people will say it is.

Yes, Kelce has had an amazing career, but Mahomes will identify a new go-to player. If Kelce retires, I suspect he'll restructure his contract to help create cap space for the team.

Regardless, 2025 TE class:
February 10, 2025 at 11:07 PM
This leaves a hole at LT. Can they add Cam Robinson?

OTC currently has KC's Team Cap Space at $11,503,627, Spotrac has it at $15.7M. Spotrac values Robinson at $14.0M avg. annual salary.

So, yeah, it's possible, but it'll be tough.

The draft is the next place to look:

Take 2, it's much worse...
February 4, 2025 at 11:18 PM
I *hope* we receive more/better trade offers than this. I tried to trade w/ DAL & couldn't construct a trade that's acceptable by this site.

In the end, I draft Tyler Booker & receive a 3rd round pick this season.

I could have traded w/ CIN & grabbed more value, but I didn't want to miss my guy.
February 4, 2025 at 10:38 PM
The post I came across & my reaction.

Campbell, Graham, Banks Jr, and Williams all being gone would be worst case scenario. The best way I can handle it is a Mock Draft Simulator. I don't believe Jeanty will be the pick.

Stole this from Facebook, sorry if there's errors.

The NFC, specifically the Bears, need to step it up.

The last two I'll touch on are Darrell Taylor & Jack Sanborn.

Taylor was a early pleasant surprise for the team, but I'm not sure how Dennis Allen will view him. They could view him as replacement level & move on.

I want Sanborn back, but will he be looking for a larger role on another team?
January 28, 2025 at 11:23 PM
I've been a Jenkins fan since day 1, so it hurts that I want him to walk.

The problem is simple, injuries. Availability is the best ability when it comes to the OL. He's never played a full 17 game season, or more than 738 snaps.

I expect one of Trey Smith or Mekhi Becton to join the team.
January 28, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Keenan Allen is an interesting discussion.

The Bears were responsible for $23M of Allen's contract in 2024. What will a new deal look like?

Even if he takes a paycut to stay in CHI, should we want him back? I look at Rome & lean "no". Allen's target share is too high.

An alternative, Tim Patrick.
