Very much true. But obviously it's mitigated. The bad effects of Bo1 focus is the extent it influences design. Were it casual only, I don't think casuals would be bothered.

Magic had the answer since 1994. It's match play. Honestly, Bo1 should be a casual format only. No drafts, standard, or any other true tournament format.

I do think (and definitely hope) Hargrave is washed up. But then again Vikings D extends washed players. Harrison Smith for example.
