This Native American Heritage Month—and always—honor the enduring presence of Indigenous Peoples.

Respect isn’t optional. Refrain from flying drones in all culturally sensitive areas and across the BENM.

Ahéhee' – Elahkwa – Askwali – Tog’oiak’ – Kwakwhay Thank you for visiting with respect.

Flying drones near sacred structures, ceremonial spaces, ancestral homes, or cultural panels is deeply disrespectful.

Just like we wouldn’t fly drones over a cemetery or through a cathedral, we must extend that same respect to Indigenous sacred places.

Every mesa, canyon, & cliff dwelling holds generations of memory & spiritual energy that remain present today. These places continue to guide, and connect.

Even when a drone doesn’t touch the ground, its sound and vibration can disturb the spirit of the place, & the ancestors who still dwell there.
