With Switch 2 on the horizon, I believe it's likely they're waiting for the system to release before announcing continued support for Splatoon 3 since it's backward compatible. Assuming Splatoon 4 isn't releasing any time soon. (2/2)

I remember back in Splatoon 2 they said they were gonna stop adding new content and or support after octo expansion/2018 or something like that, but then they added Sheldon's picks and still continued support for another 2 years. (1/2)
