Just a really great example of how making a legal system that is actively hostile towards trans and intersex people, makes things unnecessarily more complicated for everyone 🤷‍♂️ I'll be interested to see how this progresses...

TLDR; I think now I recognise how much happier I am at places where I feel innately welcomed not like Im some exception with special permission to be there, now I need to seek out and make efforts to attend explicitly Queer events and not just feel like I have to settle for "good enough"

The difference I felt between attending a gay male event and a queer one was night and day. In one, I was a tourist, in the other I was at home. Absolutely free from the pressure of passing, I could just be myself and not worry. Queer has so much space to it for me in a way gay never has.

Because even though I pass well enough as a man,; I'm not one. I'm a non-binary genderqueer mess 😅 I'm not gay, I'm not only attracted to men I am hopelessly bisexual and honestly the reason i attend most of these events is more to do with the venues holding licences to host smutty stuff 🤷‍♂️
