I love Darth maul, red, morally not good, more aggressive, bad guy, who's not totally bad but still. I love red hood, red, morally questionable, relatively aggressive, not quite bad but still kinda bad good bad guy. Both these men I am attached to in a sense, both these men I find rather attractive.

Also physically batman shouldn't be heard or seen. Batman is spooky and haunting. His fear factor should come from a sense of doom, not a sense of brutal beatings. Batman is undeniable and unflappable and unstoppable and he should be spooky because it not only highlights his skill but also his good
Of course batman uses fear and he should absolutely use fear, but he should be benevolent. He should always end things as quickly and painlessly as possible. What makes batman scary isn't his Brutality, it's his determination. It's not about what he can do, it's about what he is willing to
If batman is too dark then it not only invalidates his no kill rule but it also make the only difference between him and Jason in terms of vigilantism being the killing or no killing. I think it's so much more beautiful if batman is a very respectful and decent merciful vigilante.

It's also really painful because Redhood is the whole reason I ever got into comics at all and like other comic characters at all. Also there's a load of good and constructive criticism to aim at the character, I'm not saying there isn't
It's very annoying to me when people say "oh redhood should be discontinued" or "Jason todd should never have come back" because it's a very good reminder that mishandling of a good character can be really detrimental to that character. And shows the opinion of a character isn't based on quality
